That plus the relationship in the text created a new, third thing. That's the magic, I think.Roger Langridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12404576498089582383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19797865.post-1254030137491361612016-05-16T01:29:41.316+01:002016-05-16T01:29:41.316+01:00Also, Stan and Ollie in Rosenkrantz + Guildenstern...Also, Stan and Ollie in Rosenkrantz + Guildenstern? Have you seen Buster in Beckett's Film (1965 - recently restored)? Old, crumpled, stone face - that's my Gogo.World's Worst Poethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04308897755799914080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19797865.post-46638589950650156562016-05-15T08:48:59.265+01:002016-05-15T08:48:59.265+01:00Lately I've been thinking Stan and Ollie in Ro...Lately I've been thinking Stan and Ollie in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead would be an even better fit. My wife saw Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson doing Godot before we met; I'm still jealous.Roger Langridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12404576498089582383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19797865.post-74467056120183411862016-05-15T07:03:05.704+01:002016-05-15T07:03:05.704+01:00I have been unable to get your idea of Laurel and ...I have been unable to get your idea of Laurel and Hardy in Waiting For Godot out of my head (a dramatic earworm) and I don't like the casting (which is even in Wikipedia). I think Stan could play Lucky and Ollie would be a good fit for Pozzo, but I'd like to see Keaton as Estragon and Chaplin as Vladimir. Such a brilliant play, even Steve Martin and Robin WIlliams could do it.World's Worst Poethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04308897755799914080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19797865.post-5929034882621730972016-05-13T09:00:03.014+01:002016-05-13T09:00:03.014+01:00Don't we all !Don't we all !Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16642286817944671749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19797865.post-85388846671290507692016-05-11T14:59:09.788+01:002016-05-11T14:59:09.788+01:00Quite right. Keaton could take two people, stand them 3 feet apart, make them somehow manage to NOT SEE EACH OTHER, and have it be hilarious for 30 seconds.
