This mocking laughter echoing in his ears

Oh please dear author pray assuage this reader's fears
That the poet may succumb to the small minded sneers
And the jeers of his poetickal inferiors
And have him cleave instead to his opinion
That the best poetry, like a steak, is neither rare nor medium, but well done.
