I'm currently in the middle of drawing a new story for Doctor Who Magazine. It's one of those draw-a-whole-lot-of-past-Doctors stories they throw me every once in a while - I won't elaborate in case I spoil the story, but there's a page of pencils below as a teaser.
Also started work on a 250-odd page story of my own which has been rattling around my head for a good long while. It's called "The Pictures Are Better on the Radio." I'm setting aside my Mondays to work on it, which is all the spare time I can afford, so at that rate it'll probably take me about five years... still, like they say, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Five years is a whole lot better than never. So - one page down, 249 to go... I'll either find someone to pay me to do it and get it done in a more reasonable amount of time, or (more likely) serialise it on the website starting in January (when the Fred the Clown reruns run out), then look for a publisher once it's done. It's a romantic comedy, sort of, but it's also about the last days of radio as the mass medium and the dawn of the television age. I'm not going to talk too much about it in case I jinx the whole thing...
Anyway, here are some Doctors for yez.

Wow, a 250 page story? Sounds like quite the epic. Are there any pictures you can show us without spoiling us? Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteand Yay! More Doctor Who! And is that penguin Frobisher? They need to do a story with the 10th Doc and Frobby!

Do you still have more of those Doctor Who spot illos to show us, or have you run out of them?
I've probably got some more I haven't posted... the fact is, I can't remember which ones I've posted and which ones I haven't. I'd have to do some homework before posting any more.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, that's Frobisher, albeit in flashback. Lots of flashbacks in this one!
I'll have to check out the "Dr. Who" magazine...the show's become a favorite of mine. (Though I'm fond of Christopher Eccleston as The Rider/Mitothin and David Tennant as Barty Crouch, Jr., too...)
ReplyDeleteAnd I am looking forward to see the Fozzie comic in "Disney Adventures". :) I hope that Disney just makes "Comic Zone" a regular magazine, but I'm not sure if they'll get rid of that, too. :(
