The Mighty Fighting Avengers!

Today is Free Comic Book Day, the day where we celebrate the time when the baby Jesus was given a comic book. Or something. Anyway, one of my efforts is available to comic book shop patrons this fine day, absolutely free: Captain America and Thor, the Mighty Fighting Avengers! I'm not responsible for the jaw-breaking title, but the rest of the words are mine; the pictures are by the marvellous Chris Samnee and Matthew Wilson. Basically, it's the Thor: The Mighty Avenger team reunited one more time. I honestly don't know if FCBD is observed outside the USA and Canada, but if you're fortunate enough to live near a participating store, why not head out and pick one up - and spend a few dollars while you're there, why don'tcha?

  1. I wish I'd known about this *before* FCBD. I didn't make it into the city today. Wonder if there'll be any leftover anywhere...

  2. I mentioned it in March right here - sorry if you missed it!

  3. It was great to see the old band back together one last time--and I'm glad to see that Chris is already getting more work at Marvel.

The FCBD story was a lot of fun, and I'd love to see this included with the previous eight issues in a complete Thor: The Mighty Avenger collection someday.

  4. Your story was genius. It's great to see comic book stories that kids and adults can enjoy. :)

  6. I just read the two collections of Thor and I have to say they're some of the best comics I've EVER read. I regret that I "waited for the trade" on that series, since it got cancelled because of jackasses like me. But honestly, I knew it was something I'd want to read multiple times, so I figured the books would be better. My 10-year-old son likes them too.

The spam filter is back on because it just goes berserk if I switch it off. Sorry - I'll get to your comments ASAP!
