Business Card

I did this business card for the last couple of conventions I went to (pretty much the only time I ever need one). I'm never quite sure of the etiquette, so I generally just give them to people who specifically ask for my contact details or people who thrust one of their own cards at me. I was doing these elaborate little minicomic business cards for a while, but they cost a lot to produce and I'm not sure they make such a good impression anyway; they seem to say, "Here's a man who has far too much time on his hands".

  1. The color looks great. Better still, Popeye's body position and the implied force of the punch both draw the eye to the name on the card. For people who get a lot of cards the names tend to all blend together after awhile. The only downside I can see is morons contacting you trying to license the characters instead of commissioning you. I'd have a short polite statement prepared in advance.

  2. Love it. I like having the biz cards from artists when I buy their art or commission (only once in my life). Also very handy during big 'cons to write down your booth number. Also good as a small plate for peanuts.
