It would be nice to prioritise, to triage as it were, but unfortunately fixing one thing at a time means ALL the other things fail. It's like health care for very sick people, you have to try to fix everything at the same time and hope to mitigate the side effects. BUT dying people want to be saved. There's people today who think vaccines are the problem.
ReplyDeleteSure, I don't disagree with any of that. What I'm finding absolutely exhausting is that the same energy seems to be given to things that are (so it seems to me) obvious distractions. The brouhaha about Fawlty Towers earlier today is a good example. Just mad panic about a non-issue.
DeleteYeh, I wasn't talking about B Fawlty, but systemic racism, endemic injustice, entrenched inequality, pollution, climate change, poverty and the lack of sportsball.
