Well, a bit of news today. It appears my first Muppet Show book, Meet the Muppets, has been nominated for an Eisner Award. I'm not holding my breath about actually winning the thing - I'm up against John Stanley, for crying out loud - but it's a great feeling to be on the list. Thanks to the Eisner committee for the nomination, and to all the talented people who facilitate the process and make my work look as nice as it does.

Is that sketch for sale because I would love to get ahold of that. Nomination deserved.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Roger!
ReplyDeleteI consider this book to be the 'Watchmen' of humour comics. Some much deserved recognition coming your way I'm sure!

Congratulations! Jim Henson and I were born on the same day, but I have more staying power.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, Roger.
ReplyDeleteKermit's not the only one who misses Jim Henson. I tried to get it across in the 'Joe's Heebie Jeebies' Freebie (you might remember I gave you a copy at The Thing).
You've nailed it much better than I did, though.
The funny thing is that I only found out that you were doing 'The Muppets' after The Thing.
If it was up to me, you'd already have that Eisner.
your blog is good
